Golden Hill Turquoise is a newly loved turquoise and just recently incorporated in jewelry by the Natives throughout the Southwest. It’s a rare soft blue color with a range of lavender, brown and rust color matrix. Turquoise is uncovered all around the world, where lots of copper and iron minerals are found, although Golden Hill Turquoise is known to be one of the most chemically pure turquoise discovered. It is a high-grade, hard material mined out of Altyn Tyube in Khazakhstan, south of Russia.

Golden Hill Turquoise is mined during one season out of the year. When the river waters are low and cold enough to freeze, the miners can then start mining under the river for this unique stone.
